Thanks for completing a "You said, We did" card recently with your three points. I'll answer them one at a time:
- Heating after 5pm. Sorry to hear you've found it cold, specifically after 5pm. We are experiencing some problems with the heating, so if you find it either too hot, or too cold please let us know at the time you have the problem, and let us know where you'd had the problem. Each desk in the Main Library has a number on it, so take a note of that and pass it on. We monitor the temperature throughout the day, but knowing specific locations and times can help Estates pin point any problem areas for investigation.
- Hot drinking water - we've been asked about this before. Of course, when the cafe is open you can get free hot water if you bring your own cup. When the Cafe is closed there are no facilities to provide hot water. Currently we have no means of resolving this problem, but it's something we can look into for any future developments in the Library.
- Parking tickets / Opening times - I'm happy to hear that you're pleased to see the introduction of parking tickets. It's early days, but we hope this might improve the availability of study spaces. I'm also glad that the opening times suit your needs.
