This suggestion does come up from time to time but we have always felt that manual staplers are too fragile (we used to go through a large number of manual staplers) while an electronic stapler would be too noisy for the silent floors and would be liable to disturb users. The hole punch would likewise be noisy. On balance we think the inconvenience of having to go down to Level 2 is outweighed by the benefit of keeping Levels 3 & 4 silent.

This is subject to change though and we will continue to review feedback as we receive it.
