Thank you for completing a Library feedback card.
The main reason that the Library and Residential and Business Services decided to offer students free coffee and donuts in the evening rather than at 8am is that the Library is much busier in the evenings and we thought the offer would be well appreciated later in the day when energy levels were flagging. Judging by the uptake (the free coffee and donuts proved very popular) I think that was the correct decision. I appreciate your point about bad sleeping rhythms but I think most students aren’t engaged in ‘normal’ sleep patterns in the run up to the exams and over a short period of time a coffee and donut in the evening won’t cause any problems.
Please do get back to me with any other thoughts or feedback.
