No, sorry it's not possible to access Library e-resources using the University of St Andrews VPN.
To gain access to Library resources when you’re away from the University Network, you need to sign in with each of the services. Different suppliers of resources use different terminology for the access route you need to use, so within the sign in options look for:
- Institutional Login
- Shibboleth Login
- UK Federation or Access Management Federation
We provide instructions for signing in to each of the databases we have access to on our A-Z Database guide http://libguides.st-andrews.ac.uk/A-Z . Click the “more” link beneath the description of each database to see instructions for signing in to that database/service.
Our Remote Access to Online Resources guide http://libguides.st-andrews.ac.uk/remote_access also provides instructions.
If you are experiencing problems accessing specific resources and would like some help, please email Library@st-andrews.ac.uk with the details of the resource you are trying to access and the problem you are experiencing, and we’ll get back to you.
