Thank you for your email.
The nature of our heating system and the large number of users entering and exiting the Main Library makes it a challenge to ensure we have comfortable temperature levels over the winter months. This was illustrated by our recent Halloween ‘Trick or Treat’ feedback where “it’s too warm” comments were posted alongside “too cold”!
At the moment the sensors on Levels 3 & 4 are showing temperatures in the range 19c-22c, which is reasonable. If you do feel it to be too cold (or too warm) please report the issue to staff on duty straight away (always include your desk number – that’s really helpful). As we do not have local control of thermostats this allows us to contact colleagues in Estates and ask the temperature settings to be adjusted upwards or downwards.
Please do not hesitate to get back in touch if I can be of any further assistance.
