Thank you for taking the time to complete a Library feedback card. The first two points you have raised have been answered by colleagues in IT Services:

In relation to your comments:

All computers in the main library should have an option to type foreign characters and words.

This option is available on all student PCs. Instructions on how to enable this feature can be found at:

All computers in the main library should have an option to change system's background colour into light/milk green.

This option is available through the Ease of Access Centre on all student PCs. This can be found through the Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access.  Specific instructions on how to change the system's background can be found at: . You can even set the contrast and other display options to your preferred choice.

If you are having any problems using any of these features, please get in touch with me and I will liaise with the IT Service Desk to assist you.

In terms of the women’s toilet in Martyrs Kirk we have not had any other feedback on the same subject but I will pass your comments on to the University Cleaning Manager to investigate. With regard to heating we did experience a few days last month when the heating within the building failed but that problem has been fixed and the temperature should now be at a comfortable level. There are indeed individual heaters at each desk and these are operated by a small switch at the left hand side of the desk.
