Thanks for your suggestion.  I like the idea of bean bags (or floor cushions) for the Library but I am struggling to see where we could locate them given the pressures on floor space in the building.  If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

We are keen to create as many seating and study furniture choices for students as possible and indeed the range of options has improved in recently years.  Once we have redeveloped Level 1 in a few years, we will able to provide even more space - more individual study spaces, more group study rooms, a PG zone and a far larger cafe facility.  That work is due to be completed some time around 2019/2010.  Until then, we are working with the rest of the University to improve awareness of and access to alternative study facilities like the Gateway Well.
