Q. University library spaces should not house expensive tampon vending machines!

Thank you for your email.
I have passed your comments about the tampon vending machines on to my colleague, the Estates Cleaning Manager and she has advised: we have machines installed in key buildings across the University providing sanitary products for use in an emergency situation. The price for products is pre-determined by the supplier and the University pays for these to be maintained. This provision has been in place for many years. The Scottish Government is currently looking into providing this service free of charge and information has been submitted for review. We are awaiting feedback on this.
In the meantime please do not hesitate to get back to me with any further feedback.
