Thanks for completing a Library You Said We Did card last week.
I am sorry that you were finding it too warm inside the Library. This is a problem we’ve been trying to deal with via our colleagues in Estates for many years but this is a particularly difficult building in which to regulate the temperature.
Library staff have no immediate control over the temperature (this is regulated remotely by Estates) but we do have access to the system that shows the temperatures in the different areas of the building.
If you find it too hot or too cold in the future, I would encourage you to let a member of staff know by speaking to them directly. Most of our desks are individually numbered so it’s helpful if you report to staff where you were sitting and when. That way the information we pass back to Estates engineers can be more targeted.
Thanks again for your comments.
