Thanks for your comments. We have had issues with heating in the Main Library building for a number of years. The system was replaced in 2011/12 as part of the refurbishment project but it has been problematic since then.
There are plans to effect either repairs or a complete replacement of the current system, possibly as early as this coming summer vacation but this is still to be confirmed by our colleagues in Estates.
In the meantime, if you have specific feedback about which part of the Library you are finding uncomfortable and at a particular time on a particular date, please let Library staff know as soon as possible. Most of our desks have numbers on them and you can use this in your feedback. There's not a great deal we can do to make adjustments (via Estates who control the temperature remotely) in response to broad, retrospective comments.
