Thank you for completing a Library feedback card and apologies for the delay in my reply.

I’ve just been out to check the benches under the tree and they do not look to be in bad shape at this time – in fact discarded cigarettes are more of an issue than bird poop! In combination with colleagues in Estates we do take care to look after the outside of the Library building – as evidenced by recent planting of flowers and shrubs around the building and regular power-washing of the surrounds. We will keep an eye on the tables and clean as necessary.

The open air benches are popular, particularly now with the better weather so we plan to leave them where they are for the time being. There are also more sheltered benches for use on the south side of the Library.

Please do get back in touch with any other feedback or suggestions.

best wishes
