It is well-acknowledged that the stairs in the Main Library are a slightly odd height - seemingly slightly too small for natural single steps for many users. However, I'm afraid we'll have to make do with them...and they do eventually get you to where you want to go!

We do have staplers beside the printers on Levels 2, 3 and 4 so there should always be one available for you to use.
