Students and Staff of the University of St Andrews are automatically registered with the library. Use you Student Matriculation card, or Staff ID card as your library card.
Students and Staff of the University of Abertay, and the University of Dundee can borrow under a reciprocal arrangement. Please bring your Student or Staff ID from your institution to the Library Helpdesk to join.
Postgraduate and Distance Learning Students and Staff from other Academic Institutions can join using the SCONUL Access scheme. You will need to submit your request using the SCONUL website before you can join, and bring your Student or Staff ID from your institution to the Library Helpdesk to join.
Non-members of the University are also very welcome to use the Library.
- Reference use - please bring ID with you and request an access card from the Welcome Desk. Cards are valid for up to a year.
- Borrowing - please bring ID with you and contact the Library Helpdesk on level 2 if you want to become a member of the library and borrow. Please note you may need to pay to join.
