Thanks for your feedback and the kind words. The keyboards have been installed at the smaller banks of PCs on levels 3 and 4 but could of course be extended to the larger PC clusters in these areas. We'll keep things under review and act accordingly.
I agree - the Library is too hot but I'm afraid our staff have no local access to either the temperature readings or the heating controls. The heating, air conditioning and ventilations systems in the Library were all replaced during the Redevelopment Project but continue to be a problem.
I have literally just contacted a senior colleague in University Estates to ask for updates on where we are with with regards to the heating system and have made the point about the daily complaints we are receiving about this issue. Hopefully we can see some real progress on this long-outstanding issue soon.
In the meantime, I can only apologise on behalf of the University for the very uncomfortable conditions in the building, particularly at this time of year when our occupancy is so high and the temperature outside is rising.
