Thanks for your feedback. Our colleagues in IT Services have actually improved their Helpdesk provision significantly in the last few years, particularly in terms of weekend service. When I started working at the University in 2009, the IT Helpdesk used to close at 6pm on a Friday and didn't re-open until the following Monday morning.
Having an IT member of staff on duty for the entire opening hours of the Library - which we are hoping to further extend by September - is highly unlikely to be possible given the cost involved.
