Thanks for filling in one of our feedback cards the other week – sorry for being a bit slow to reply.
In terms of the decaf coffee, I’m surprised that this isn’t something that’s available already in the café. The Library doesn’t actually run the café – this is done by our colleagues in Residential & Business Services – but I’ll certainly ask the Retail Manager about decaf (UPDATE - I've now found out that decaf is only available in freeze dried sticks which you obviously knew already! Nonetheless, RBS are now aware that somone has asked for bean to cup decaf so I'm sure they'll keep it under review).
I’ll also let her know about your kind words about her RBS colleagues and thank you, on behalf of the Library, for the praise for one of our staff. I’ll make sure the staff are told of their awesomeness.
In terms of the plug points, we would like to get power to all of the desks on levels 3 and 4 that don’t have them. This wasn’t possible during the redevelopment project because of the budget available to us at the time. Level 2 desks mostly have power because that floor is raised – this allows for greater flexibility in terms of socket locations. We do not have raised floors on levels 3 and 4 but I have asked Estates colleagues to see what may be possible to retrofit. However even if it’s technically possible to introduce power to these desks, it’s highly unlikely to be done any time soon.
