Thank you for completing one of our “You said, We did” cards.  I’m very pleased that you’re impressed with the library overall.

Your comments about the lack of sockets is something we are very aware of.  Currently we’re restricted to having sockets on the perimeter desks on levels 3 and 4 as we have solid concrete floors on these areas.  However we are in discussions with our colleagues in Estates who are investigating ways of increasing the number of desks with sockets.  Unfortunately I can’t give you a timescale on when we would hope to be able to increase the number of desks with sockets, we’ll need to wait to see what the solutions are.  Currently the University doesn’t have anything which shows where there are available sockets, but you could check some of the other facilities in the University to see if any of these might suit your needs?

On the final point, that you’ve heard the Library may be slipping down the hill due to a weight miscalculation, I can assure you that we’re holding ground, much as we’d love to have a beachfront location…

Thanks again for your comments.
