Thank you for taking the time a couple of weekends ago to complete a Library You Said/We Did comments card. My apologies for the slight delay in sending you this reply.
It’s actually quite surprising that 3 years after our first phase of redevelopment (when we reduced the number of SAULCAT terminals), yours is the first request for a catalogue terminal with a seat or stool at it. I agree that it is something that we should try and provide if we can although I’m sure you appreciate how limited we are for floor space in this building.
I don’t know if a stool at one of the existing search terminals would be particularly practical but I can certainly look into it. The other option is to provide an additional search station for SAULCAT but one that mounted on a lower desk and at which we could therefore place a seat. We are planning to redevelop some of the space adjacent to the SAULCAT terminals later this year so I shall add your suggestion to the list of things we may be able to provide in this area.
