Thank you for completing a Comments Card to let us know that you find the temperature in the library to be uncomfortable. The temperature in the Library is something we often get comments on, and we are working with our colleagues in Estates to try to improve on this.
Library staff don't have any means of controlling the temperature in the Library as this is controlled by Estates, however we pass any comments we receive on to Estates who will make adjustments. It is helpful if we are told the areas where the temperature needs to be adjusted, as it can vary across a level, by, for example, telling us which desk you are sitting at, as these are all numbered. Yours is not the only complaint we have received, and our own patrols have made us aware of the problem.
The temperature has been adjusted and is lower today than it has been of late, which I hope has made things better for you.
Please accept our apologies for any discomfort you have experienced, we would appreciate everyone's patience as we try to find ways to improve on this.
