Thank you for completing a "You said, We did" card recently bringing to our attention the heat in the Library. We have received several complaints about the temperature in the Library recently, and we're working with our colleagues in Estates to monitor the temperature and to look for solutions to the problem. As the temperature varies across floors it can be useful to let us know where in a particular floor you were sitting (each desk is numbered) and the time of day, this will help us to pinpoint if there are particular areas and times of the day when the temperature is uncomfortable.
The issue of the temperature in the Library is a long-running theme, and an issue we have tried to resolve for some time. We appreciate that it can be very frustrating for Library users, it's also frustrating for Library staff who experience the same issues. At this moment all I can do is apologise to you, and assure you that we continue to work towards finding a solution to the problem, and we hope Library users will bear with us.
Thanks again for getting in touch,
Academic Liaison Librarian
