Thank you for completing a "You said, We did" card in the Library recently, commenting on the bike shed and cycling racks around the Library.
It is unfortunate that the bins for the Library are located at the entrance to the bike shed. Unfortunately Estates haven't been able to find an alternative location for these, and the number of bins has grown over the years as we've had to increase the number to deal with requirements to recycle food waste as well as general waste generated in the Library.
Our colleagues in Estates manage the cycle spaces around the campus, and you can report any bikes parked at the inconvenience of others, see the Cycle Parking Regulations for more information. The University also has a map of cycle parking locations across campus, which you may find useful if you can't get a space by the Library. As you say, we could do with more cycle spaces, and we'll work with Estates to try to find spaces which could be used for this purpose.
Thanks again for your comments.
