Thank you for completing a "You said, We did" card recently.  We don't currently have any plans to provide "Quiet" signage on the stairs in braille.  The "Quiet" posters are kept within plastic frames and it's not possible to emboss these.

As well as the "Quiet" signage, we also notify Library users of our policy on noise via our website, during orientation tours, and through our Facebook and Twitter accounts.  In addition, where Library staff find people talking on the stairs, we ask them to move to Level 2 to reduce the disruption that noise on the stairs can cause to people using the silent study zones.

If you experience problems with noise in the Silent Study zones, including noise on the stairs, you can bring it to the attention of Library staff by sending a text to 07740 421569 with the word "Noise" and where the noise is, and a member of staff will investigate.

Thanks for you suggestion.
