Thank you for completing a “You said, We did” card recently.  I’m sorry you’ve found it too hot in the library.  We’ve been working with Estates to monitor the temperature in the Library this year as we get lots of comments about the temperature – some say we’re too hot, others too cold.  As a general rule of thumb the temperature is normally warmest in the middle of the Library and cooler towards the perimeter desks – you may find a significant variation as you move across the floor.

As we’re trying to improve the temperature it’s really useful if users can report problem areas to us.  You’ll notice that each desk has a number on it, if you let us know the desk number, and the date and time when it’s uncomfortable we can pass this information on to Estates and hopefully built a better picture of the problem areas we have in order to improve things.  You can speak to a member staff, or email library@st-andrews.ac.uk

Thanks again for your comments, please be assured we’re trying very hard to improve the situation.
