Thanks for completing a "You said, We did" card.  We really appreciate you telling us that you think the staff are brilliant, so thank you!

I'm sorry that you have been disappointed to find the café has been closed during the vacation period.  Unfortunately use of the café drops off considerably after semester comes to an end.  You can still get access to the vending machines if you need a hot drink.  We've had a few other comments about access to hot drinking water, but this isn't something we can currently offer.  We don't have an appropriate place where this could safely be located, but we will investigate if there's a way this could be done in the future.

I'm also sorry you've found it so cold recently, it is supposed to be summer, so we don't expect to find students dressed in polar expedition gear.... I hope you may have found that it's improved recently, certainly some areas are warmer than others.  We would encourage you to report any areas which are either too hot or too cold when you experience them.  This gives us an opportunity to investigate specifically where the problem is and report this to Estates for closer examination.  Generally the colder areas of the Library are along the periphery, whereas it's warmer towards the core of the building, and we find the temperature can vary quite a lot from space to space.

Thanks again for getting in touch.
