Can I still borrow books over the summer holidays?

Yes, if you are a member of staff, or continuing student then you can continue to borrow from the Library over the holidays. Borrower Privileges and Loan Periods remain the same. If you are borrowing books, and plan to take them away from St Andrews then please bear in mind that it is still possible that a book may be recalled, in which case you would need to return it, you can return books by post to:
University of St Andrews
We recommend you ask for a receipt or proof of postage if returning books by post.
Books will automatically renew if no-one else requests them:
4-week loan will renew up to 4 times for Undergraduate students, and up to 20 times for Postgraduate Students and Staff.
3-day loan will renew up to 10 times.
You'll receive an email when your books renew advising you of the new due date. If something is requested by someone else you'll receive an email advising you that that item needs to be returned, and the due date will change to 1 week from the day the recall was made. Please note that fines for overdue recalled books are set at £2 per day.
