Q. What format should I send my module reading list in?

Our preferred format is to receive a list which is clearly marked up as essential and additional reading (or similar categories). This helps us process your list quickly as we know which items we need to make available digitally.

If this is not appropriate for the way you teach your module then please help library staff by indicating which items you would like them to prioritise and make available digitally. If you can do this when submitting your list it means we can get started as quickly as possible and do not need to return the list to you seeking further clarification.

Lists can be structured in the way you teach your module, for example, by theme, week or by primary and secondary sources.

If updating a reading list from a previous year it would help us greatly if you can mark up the relevant changes, e.g. by tracking changes on a Word document.

You can ask to be given editing access to the list once it has been set up. You can also ask us to give you permissions that will allow you to place requests to have chapters from print books scanned.
