Q. Why can't I install Mendeley on my Mac?
An error comes up to say Mendeley Desktop.app can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This error sometimes appears because Macs are set up to only allow trusted software. In order to install the Mendeley app it is necessary to change the security settings. Guidance on how to do this is available from Apple.
