Library classes and one-to-one appointments with a librarian are often delivered by Microsoft Teams. This allows us to share our screens with you and show you how to use our resources.
Sometimes it is helpful if you can share your screen with us especially if you are experiencing a problem with a resource or wish to explain where you have got to with your research.
When sharing your screen you will get the option to share Screen (your desktop) or share Windows. We usually find the Screen option works best and especially if you are moving between applications or we need to talk you through changing any settings.
If you are on Mac then the first time you are sharing your screen you need to grant permission to Teams to do so. You can do this by going to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Screen Recording and ensure Microsoft Teams is selected.
If you are new to Microsoft Teams and sharing your screen then you may find the information on the Microsoft Support website useful.
