Q. Is there a way to browse the Library collection without being in the Library?

Our library search system allows you to virtually browse our collections which can be useful if you're unable to browse the shelves in any of our libraries. You can choose to either browse the collections in one of our libraries or browse across all libraries to see which items we hold on your subject regardless of location.

You can access virtual browse by clicking on the classmark link in a book record.

This will then launch virtual browse allowing you to see which items are shelved before and after the one you have chosen.

Watch our short video (which includes captions) to see how to use virtual browse in more detail. This video will also show you how to find details of the content of the book for those items where this information is included in the record.
