Bloomberg is not available online and can only be accessed via a dedicated terminal.
The Bloomberg terminal has a monthly download limit which is remotely enforced by Bloomberg. Once the limit has been reached nobody is able to download data until it resets on the first of the month.
Access to Bloomberg is therefore prioritised as follows:
- Academic staff in Schools of Management and Economics and Finance
- PGR students in Schools of Management and Economics and Finance.
- PGT students in Schools of Management and Economics and Finance who require Bloomberg data for their dissertations
Before requesting access to Bloomberg you should search our other Financial and Economic data resources to see if the data you require is available. These resources are all available online and have fewer restrictions on what can be downloaded.
For students - if you are unable to find the data you need in any other database then please talk through this with your supervisor. To find out if Bloomberg can be made available to you please contact us at library@st-andrews.ac.uk
