Q. How do I set up access to EndNote Web?

Even if you have EndNote Desktop installed on your PC or Mac you should still set up an EndNote Web account so you can sync your library. This ensure you have a backup of the library which you can access from anywhere, allows you to share references with others or to use EndNote on more than one device.

If you are new to EndNote web:

To access EndNote web for the first time you need to create an account.

  • Go to EndNote Desktop on your PC or Mac
  • Click on Library and then Sync
  • Follow the on screen instructions to sign up for an account. Make sure you remember the e-mail address you have registered with and the password you have chosen.

If you are using EndNote 21 and wish to use the share references option or online search in EndNote Web then please use the link for previous versions of EndNote as these options are not yet available in the new web version.
