Q. Why am I getting an error message in Bloomberg?

I am using the Excel API in Bloomberg and keep getting an error message

The following error messages may appear if you are using the Excel API in Bloomberg and indicate downloading is disabled:

  • #N/A Authorization 
  • #N/A Limit 
  • #N/A Mth Lmt 
  • #N/A Unknown 

There are alternative approaches you can use to screen and analyse data on the terminal

If you get a different error to those above then a list of error codes is available:

  • In Excel, from the Bloomberg menu choose Help. 
  • Click the Search tab. 
  • Search for error message codes.
