The Libby app provides access to ebooks, audiobooks and e-magazines with a focus on leisure reading. Content includes contemporary fiction, non-fiction works, science and technology magazines and a collection of titles on equality, diversity and inclusion.
Search for Libby (by Overdrive) in either Apple Store or Google Play and download it to your phone or tablet. Alternatively, you can use the app on a laptop or desktop via the Libby website
- Login using your regular University sign on.
- Browse the collection or click the magnifying glass and search for a specific title.
- You can borrow up to 3 items at a time. Once borrowed these will appear on your Shelf so you can easily see which items are on loan to you
- If the book you want to access isn't available then place a hold
If you’re a member of another library which is also signed up to Libby, you can add multiple Library cards to increase the amount of content you can access. You can read or listen on your desktop, phone, tablet, or other e-reader
