Q. Cross Ref link for ebooks

When I access some ebooks I see a cross ref page which gives a variety of links to an ebook, some work and some don't.  How do I know which links will work?

Cross Ref links appear for some of our ebooks because the ebooks are sold via multiple suppliers. We try to prevent cross ref links appearing but from time to time they crop up.  If you see a cross ref link you can either simply try the links given as we should have access to the ebook through at least one of the links, or go back to the record for the ebook and scroll to the Notes field to see which platform you should get access to the ebook on:

Screenshot of a book record which provides details of the ebook. Towards the bottom of the screenshot the Note section is highlighted by a green book, the Note reads: Available through University Press Scholarship Online (SHEDL)

Then click the link to access the ebook from the record, and then select the service given in the Notes field from the list on the Cross Ref page.

If you experience problems with cross ref links please email Library@st-andrews.ac.uk with the details of the book you have experienced the problem with and we will investigate.
