In Workspace type ESG in the main search box to see the Sustainable Finance & Investment Home Page which gives an overview of ESG data, fact sheets, links to ESG apps and also includes information on the ESG Scores Methodology used by LSEG

To find data for one company

• Type the name of the company in the main search box at the top of the Workspace screen. 
• When the company page loads click on ESG on the toolbar above
• Buttons will appear which allow you to change the view, for example ESG statement or ESG Peer Analysis.
• You can filter data by date or select individual pillars (Environment, Social, Governance) to narrow down your results)
• Options appear at the right hand side of the screen which allow you to download data into PDF or Excel format

To find data for multiple companies

• Type Screener in the search box at the top of the Workspace screen
• Use the left hand menu to Add Filters (for example you can select the Ccuntry of headquarters or choose a specific sector)
• Once you have selected and applied all the filters you need the list of companies matching your criteria will show on screen
• Launch the Data Item Library  from the button to the right of the "Add Column" box
• From here you can select all the ESG data fields you require
• Parameters > Series allows you to select the number of years data which you need
• Options appear at the right hand side of the screen which allow you to download data into PDF or Excel format

Finding ESG data using the Excel Add-in

• Launch Excel on the Workspace App in Apps Anywhere
• Select a blank cell on your Excel worksheet
• Build Formula allows  you to enter instruments and data items or you can select a category and then choose.
• Alternatively use the Screener button and follow the same steps as in multiple companies instructions above. Use the insert screen button at top of the the screener screen to insert the data into Excel
• In the Formula Builder enter instruments, either by typing or selecting a category. Set the layout and click insert

ESG company-level data is also accessible from Refinitiv Datastream
